We farm in San Patricio

and Nueces counties in the Coastal Bend region of South Texas. We grow cotton, grain sorghum, and corn. We couldn’t escape the Texas stereotype, so we have a cow/calf cattle operation in San Patricio county too.

There are many options

in today’s farming toolbox, and J&K Whatley Farms mixes the most successful of tried methods with the best of new practices to maximize each field’s individual parameters. We are constantly working to increase organic matter, effectively control weeds and pests with little environmental impact, and enhance soil fertility. From implementing precision farming with GPS to prescriptive fertilizer applications to the latest in seed varieties, J&K Whatley Farms uses the latest technology to maintain a sustainable farming operation while growing safe and healthy food and fiber.

 
Interested in seeing a contemporary, modern farm?
We would be happy to host a field trip to the field. Our planting season runs from February through March. We tend to growing crops until June, when we start combining grain. Our cotton harvest typically begins in July and runs through August.
